Indianapolis experiencing a record-setting rainy summer

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The last couple weeks have been extremely wet and soggy.

All of that heavy rain and flash flooding in July have been coming at a record-setting pace.

Since the beginning of July, Indianapolis has seen nearly 12 inches of rain.

As of July 19, July 2015 ranks as the third wettest July.

It also comes in as the fifth wettest of any month on record.

Going back one month, since June first, Indianapolis has experienced nearly 20 inches of rain.

Those numbers are good enough for the fourth wettest Summer on record Indianapolis.
