Update: Southwest side Kroger open

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A Kroger store that was forced to close Friday evening due flooding is now open.

According to an employee at the grocery store, the store is now open and operating.

The store located in the Marwood Plaza in the 3300 block of Kentucky Avenue closed after the heavy rainfall Friday evening.

The flooding was so severe Friday evening that a handful of employees and customers had to be rescued from the parking lot.

Several cars were also left stranded due to Friday’s storm.
