4 Red Cross facilities open for those affected by storms

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Red Cross continues to assist those in need after severe weather displaced people in the Indianapolis area.

People affected by the storms or flooding are encouraged to contact the Red Cross at 888-684-1441.

The organizations says it’s served 1,270 meals and snacks, opened four service centers and six emergency shelters.

The following Red Cross disaster response facilities are open Monday:Kendallville (Noble County)

Red Cross emergency shelter at Crosspointe Family Church of the Nazarene, 205 High Pointe Crossing, Kendallville, is open Monday, July 20. The facility was opened last night. Equipment failure at the West Lake Regional Sewer District in Noble County (Rome City) caused flooding that affected residents in the West Lake community.Portland (Jay County)

Reception center/staging area at Jay County Court House, Room 101 and the Main Auditorium, 120 W. Main Street, Portland will be open Monday, July 20 from 2 to 6 pm. Please note that this address is the side with the main entrance. Signs will be out front. Come through the main entrance and go to the first door on the right.Madison (Jefferson County)

Service center at American Red Cross, 404 Main Street, Madison will be open Monday – Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.Nashville (Brown County)

Service center at Brown County YMCA, 105 Willow Street, Nashville will be open Monday, July 20 from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
