EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Evansville police have arrested a 25-year-old man on charges alleging he set a fire at his apartment complex and left two explosive devices near a fast food restaurant.
Caleb K. Loving was charged Thursday with two counts of possession, manufacturing and transporting an explosive and one each of criminal recklessness, false reporting and arson.
A police bomb squad disposed of a pipe bomb and Molotov cocktail near the restaurant after a customer called 911 about 8:30 a.m. and reported a man wearing a bullet proof vest — later identified as Loving — had walked inside with a suspicious bag.
The fire seven hours earlier damaged two apartments.
Online jail records didn’t indicate whether loving has an attorney.
