Indy SharkFest Swim participants will dive into the canal this weekend

It’s a swim through the Indianapolis Downtown Canal this weekend, as part of a SharkFest competition, and all athletes are invited!

Indy SharkFest is part of the International SharkFest Swim Series, which started with Alcatraz in 1983 and now includes Boston, Statute of Liberty, Newport, Golden Gate, San Diego, Chicago, Lake Tahoe, Oxford and Zihuatanejo. For more than 30 years, EnviroSports has introduced runners to the cathedral-like canopies of Big Sur, the fog-cradled hills of Muir Woods, and the striking panoramic views of the Death Valley desert.

Also, the Beacon of Hope Center for Women has been selected to receive a portion of the proceeds from the Inaugural SharkFest Indy 501 and 1500 swim. Beacon of Hope is the exclusive domestic violence organization in Marion County that began offering direct assistance to victims while addressing pet safety.
