Authorities: Northern Indiana man killed in farm accident

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A Leesburg man was pronounced dead Monday after a piece of farming machinery fell on him.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, 62-year-old Daniel R. Werstler was working underneath a farm implement when it shifted and pinned him underneath.

Werstler was working on his family farm in the 600 block of North State Road 13 near North Webster around 5 p.m. when the accident happened.

Kosciusko County Deputy Coroner Tracy Cutler-Wilson pronounced Werstler dead of blunt force trauma.
