CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A former Frankfort High School teacher has pleaded guilty to two class D felony counts of child seduction.

Thomas Weeks admitted to two separate occasions where he had contact with a female student with the purpose of sexual arousing. The 47-year-old confirmed he was aware of the student’s age being over 16 and under 18 at the time of both incidents.

All events occurred in the summer of 2013 when Weeks was a history teacher and the head boys basketball coach with the Community Schools of Frankfort.

The judge said Weeks would be required to register as a sex offender for at least 10 years. Weeks is currently out on bond.

The court accepted the plea deal and Weeks will now face a sentence of six months to three years for both counts. Total sentencing cannot exceed six years.

Sentencing will be held on Oct. 1. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
