New Dr. Seuss book ‘What Pet Should I Get’ released

TAMPA, FL (WFLA/CNN) – It’s a big day for Dr. Seuss fans. For the first time in nearly 25 years, there’s a new book; “What Pet Should I Get” goes on sale Tuesday.

This book is quite a surprise. The author, Ted Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss), died nearly 20 years ago. About two years ago, the manuscript was found tucked away in his office. It’s believed he originally wrote it around 1960.

The book features the siblings from the classic book “One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.”

According to CNN, Geisel’s widow, Audrey Geisel, found the manuscript and illustrations shortly after her husband died in 1991. The materials were rediscovered in 2013 and Random House Children’s Book announced they would release the book.
