Rehabilitator talks wildlife, human interaction after lion’s death

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – You may see wild animals in the news and wonder what you can do to help.

Wildlife rehabilitator Kathy Hare Hershey was on 24-Hour News 8 at noon Thursday, joined by Patty Spitler and some baby owls.

Kathy explained why owls are so important to the wild and why it’s also important for wildlife to not become accepting of humans.

Patty touched on the tragic death of Cecil the Lion and the worldwide outrage surrounding the animal’s death.
