Cooler temps headed towards central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Any remaining storms in eastern Indiana will wrap up or exit the state through early evening.

Large hail fell in Delaware and Wayne counties as severe storms developed late Monday afternoon. Golfball-sized hail was reported southeast of Muncie.

The severe thunderstorm watch remains in place for eastern counties in Indiana until 8 p.m. That watch will likely be trimmed back as storms exit and the atmosphere stabilizes.

For most people living in central Indiana cooler and drier air is moving into the state from the northwest.

Northwest winds will continue this evening and help to bring more comfortable conditions overnight and through early Tuesday morning. Expect overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Dry conditions are expected through Tuesday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
