Red Cross looking for blood donors

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Red Cross is hoping people roll up their sleeves to help a good cause.

Donations of blood go down in the summer, making it challenging to collect enough blood to meet hospital needs.

There are several blood drives going on across Central Indiana this month. Vince Robinson with the Red Cross stopped by 24-Hour News 8 at noon to explain more.

If you are interested in donating there are three great ways for potential donors to find a Red Cross blood drive. Donors can make an appointment to give blood by, downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting or by calling 1-800-733-2767.
