NEW CASTLE, Ind. (AP) — A Henry County woman has reached a plea agreement in a child neglect case after three of her children were found malnourished and her 14-month-old daughter suffered a skull fracture.
The (Muncie) Star Press reports 24-year-old Sheena A. Zanghi made a plea agreement with prosecutors on Monday, the day she was to go to trial. She is charged with four counts of felony neglect of a dependent.
Authorities say the woman’s children were found in June 2014 living in a rural mobile home without electricity or running water.
A Henry County judge took the agreement under advisement. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 13. Terms of the deal weren’t released.
Zanghi reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in February but a judge rejected the deal in April.
