INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Fire Department was called to a fire on the north side of the city.

At 3:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to Roche Diagnostics on Hague Road to combat a structure fire.

Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles, and cause traffic on I-69 northbound to slow to a crawl.

Two ladder trucks were seen spraying the top of the building with water.

The Fishers Fire Department reported that they were assisting with the fire and and asked people to avoid the area.
The building was empty when the fire broke out, and had maintenance equipment inside. The outside of the structure was considered a total loss by IFD.
A total of 77 firefighters responded to the blaze.
