Marion Co. deputy charged with battery, confinement
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office faces multiple charges related to domestic battery.
Brandon Kidwell was arrested in July and faces four charges in the case.
- Criminal confinement (level 6 felony)
- Domestic battery committed in the presence of a child under the age of 16 (level 6 felony)
- Battery resulting in bodily injury (class A misdemeanor)
- Interference with the reporting of a crime (class A misdemeanor)
According to court documents, Kidwell is accused of locking his fiancé and her son in a room after an argument related to their relationship ending.
Kidwell has been with the department since May of 2007.
Kidwell has a court appearance scheduled for September 22.
