Tanker truck hits woman on SE side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to an accident involving a woman who was hit by a tanker truck.

The accident happened at Raymond Street and Keystone Avenue, on the city’s southeast side.

Police say the woman was taken to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. It’s possible her car broke down in the area.

The woman is believed to be in her 20s and began crossing the street when the truck hit her. Police say the truck driver wasn’t at fault.
