LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — The husband of a woman found dead Wednesday at Fort Harrison State Park has confessed to her killing, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
The body of Tina M. Moore was found at the park just around noon Wednesday.
A woman walking her dog found the body.
Robert L. Moore, 67, was arrested in connection with his wife’s death. Police say he came to the Lawrence Police Department with a pastor Friday and confessed to the killing.
He says he and his wife had a physical altercation over family issues that ended with him killing her. He told police that he dumped her body at the park Tuesday night.
On Thursday, it was revealed that Moore’s death was a homicide by asphyxiation.
A missing persons report for Moore was filed with the Lawrence Police Department on Wednesday afternoon, a few hours after the body was found.
