Jury: Suspects guilty on most counts in home invasion case

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Three men accused of a violent home invasion in October 2013 have been found guilty on most of the charges against them.

The trial for Taiwan Lundy, Adrian Anthony and Michael Pugh went to the jury around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Each defendant faced 40 charges.

The 12 member jury and one alternate deliberated over a total of 120 counts through the overnight and early Friday morning hours. Around 5:30 a.m. the jury informed the court that they had reached a decision on 100 out of the 120 counts.

The men were found guilty of these charges:

Adrian Anthony:

  • Burglary
  • Conspiracy to commit burglary
  • Robbery, 3 counts
  • Criminal confinement, 9 counts
  • Intimidation, 2 counts
  • Battery, 2 counts
  • Attempt robbery
  • Carjacking, 2 counts
  • Forgery, 13 counts
  • Conspiracy to commit forgery

Taiwan Lundy: 

  • Burglary
  • Conspiracy to commit burglary
  • Robbery, 3 counts
  • Criminal confinement, 6 counts
  • Battery, 2 counts
  • Attempt robbery
  • Carjacking, 2 counts
  • Forgery, 13 counts
  • Conspiracy to commit forgery

Michael Pugh:

  • Burglary
  • Conspiracy to commit burglary
  • Robbery, 3 counts
  • Criminal confinement, 6 counts
  • Battery, 2 counts
  • Attempt robbery
  • Carjacking, 2 counts
  • Forgery, 13 counts
  • Conspiracy to commit forgery

The three men were accused of kicking in the back door of a couple’s home on Spring Mill Road near Meridian Hills Country Club on the morning of October 24, 2013. A fourth suspect previously pleaded guilty to the charges related to the case.

Investigators said the group of suspects assaulted and tied up the homeowners, ransacked the home and stole the couple’s vehicle.

In March, Pugh and Anthony were convicted with two other men in a different home invasion in the same neighborhood also in October 2013.
