burgerDrum roll please……!!! Keith Ingram from Westfield, IN shares the burger recipe that he entered in the Red Gold Summer Grilling contest with the Indiana State Fair audience at the Red Gold Stage! Here’s the recipe for “Fiesta Burger!”

FIESTA BURGER

MAKES 6 SERVINGS

PREPARATION TIME: 20 MINUTES t COOKING TIME: 20 MINUTES

2              pounds Laura’s Lean Ground Beef

1              (14.5 ounce) can RED GOLD® Petite Diced Tomatoes with Lime Juice & Cilantro, drained

½             cup plain breadcrumbs

1              egg

1              jalapeno pepper, seeds and ribs removed, chopped

1              medium onion, chopped

1              teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

¼             cup barbeque sauce or steak sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

6              buns

Red Gold® Ketchup or Mama Selita’s Jalapeno Ketchup

 

  • In a large mixing bowl combine beef, diced tomatoes, breadcrumbs, egg, jalapeno pepper, onion, Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, salt and black pepper. Form into 6 thin burgers. Heat grill to medium high and cook burgers to desired doneness. Place a slice of cheese on each burger and allow cheese to melt. Toast buns on grill. Place a burger on each bottom bun. Add a little ketchup of choice for added flavor. Place top bun on burger and enjoy
