INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Perseid Meteor Shower lit up the sky Wednesday night and early Thursday before sunrise.

If you look to the northeast sky, you could see anywhere from 50-100 meteors per hour streaking across the sky. The next few mornings will be the peak of the meteors, however, they will still be visible through Aug. 24.

A freelance photographer, Ben Adkison, stayed up on Wednesday night to catch the Perseid Meteor Shower to capture a time-lapse video.

Adkison shared the video with CNN that he captured at Brown Lake in western Montana’s remote Blackfoot Valley.
