Bar fight death ruled homicide

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The death of a Carmel man killed in a bar fight back in May has been ruled a homicide, according to the Marion County Coroner’s Office.

Michael Lanter died May 15 in a fight at the Chatterbox in Indianapolis.

According to police, a fight broke out between Lanter and another man. Police say that other man hit Lanter in the neck area, causing him to lose his balance and hit his head on the bar.
