Severe storms possible Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An active weather pattern that has brought rounds of showers and storms to parts of central Indiana will intensify on Wednesday.

There is a marginal risk for severe storms during the day on Wednesday. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary concerns with storms that develop.

Storm complex will likely move in two waves. The first will be during the mid to late morning hours, with the second to arrive by mid to late afternoon.

The severe weather threat would likely come from the second wave of thunderstorms later in the day.

There are some questions as to cloud cover and rain cooled air from the first wave of morning storms that could limit the instability to help produce strong to severe storms later in the day.

Storm chances will move out of central Indiana by late Wednesday night.
