INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle faced a judge Wednesday on charges of obtaining child pornography and traveling out of state for sex with minors.
The news of the charges and pending plea deal surfaced on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning and social media users shared their opinions on the new details in that case that has been ongoing for more than six weeks.
Court documents released to WISH-TV layout the details behind the charges.
Twitter users began tweeting their shock over the news.
After the court documents were released detailing the allegations against Fogle many said the jail time he would get was not enough. Others said the news of Fogle would seriously affect others.
Others said they never expected Fogle would do something like this.
On Tuesday evening Subway responded to the rumors that its former spokesman would make a plea deal.
The company suspended its relationship with Fogle in July following the raid on his home. The raid came just months after former co-worker Russell Taylor was arrested for child porn.
