Cats roam free at Oregon yoga studio

PORTLAND, Ore. (WISH) — Next time yogis in Portland, Oregon do their “cat pose” they’ll be surrounded by cats.

A studio called “Purrington’s Cat Lounge” is letting kittens roam around the classroom during an all levels yoga class.

The instructor says the class is perfect for beginners.

“Just relaxing with the kitties at the end of the day, letting go. It’s more restorative and just relaxation,” said Brigid Flood Yoga Instructor.

Participants say it is very relaxing and you get the atmosphere of how a cat spends their day.

“It’s definitely cat themed. So if you like cats, even if you don’t like yoga, I feel like you’ll like this class,” said Mary Pinson.

After class, people are given another half-hour to hang out with the cats. The cats in the class are all up for adoption.
