IU police investigating possible sexual assault on campus

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – The Indiana University Police Department confirmed that they received a report of a possible sexual assault between two students that occurred on campus early Sunday morning.

The victim is a 17-year-old female, and told police that the suspect was an acquaintance and another IU student.

According to police, the two students had been drinking together on Saturday night, and the victim believes that they may have engaged in sexual activity that she did not consent to.

Police confirmed that the male suspect is 20 years old and has not been arrested.

University officials did not have an additional comment, except that the police department was investigating the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and 24-Hour News 8 will update the story as more information is available.
