COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — A simple act, that went a long way.

A little after 8 a.m. Monday, firefighters with Columbus Fire Department’s Station 1 had just finished an equipment inspection.

That’s when a driver with a flat tire pulled up to the station, located on Jackson Street, and firefighters sprung into action.

They retrieved a jack and spare tire from the car’s trunk and helped the woman get back on her way.

The fire department shared the story later Monday morning.
