It’s never been more fun to get kids excited about cooking and eating! Stephanie Drewry, owner of Sprouts Cooking School, says when she noticed there wasn’t a place around the Indianapolis area that taught cooking classes to kids, she got an idea! Why not create her own?! That’s exactly what she did!
Stephanie and her daughter Emma stopped by the Indy Style kitchen to make us “Easy Guacamole” and “Apple Pie Fruit Dip with Cinnamon Chips!”
Here is the recipe for “Easy Guacomole!”
2 Haas avocadoes
l ½Tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
½teaspoon garlic salt
1 heaping Tablespoon cilantro, chopped (or torn by your Sprouting Chef)
Blue Corn Tortilla Chips
Cut avocados in half and remove inner pit. Scoop out flesh of avocado and place in medium sized bowl. Add lime juice, garlic salt and cilantro. Using a knife, slice through the avocado. You still want ½ inch pieces before you stir so that the guacamole will have texture. Using a spoon stir a few times until all the ingredients are mixed well. Enjoy with blue corn chips!
