More charges for woman accused of faking nursing license, cancer

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman accused of faking having a nursing license and forging letters saying she had breast cancer now faces more charges.

Ashley Trent of McCordsville now faces a total of 20 charges related to forgery, theft, unlicensed practice of nursing and identity deception.

Trent was originally charged in Hancock County in July.

According to online court records, she now faces additional charges in Hamilton and Marion counties.

She was charged in Hamilton County on Aug. 24 for forgery and identity deception.

Trent was also charged in Marion County on Aug. 28 for practicing nursing without a license.

Trent has also been accused of forging letters from IU Health that claimed she has breast cancer.
