TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A crash near Harrison High School has taken the life of a motorcyclist, deputies said.
According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, a crash occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 500 North and County Road 50 West.
Deputies said the motorcyclist was headed east on CR 500 North when another driver pulled out in front of a truck that was going north on County Farm Road. Those vehicles collided in the intersection in front of the bike, cause the motorcyclist to crash into a third vehicle — an SUV.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
At first, deputies didn’t think the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. After talking to witnesses, they now believe the biker was wearing one, but it may have not been strapped.
