VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The preliminary autopsy results of the body found in Vermillion County Sunday evening have been released.
According to 24-Hour News 8 sister station, WTHI, Indiana State Police report the autopsy was performed Sunday evening by a forensic pathologist. The official cause of death has been listed as ‘asphyxiation due to hanging and the manner of death listed as suicide.’
Indiana State Police stated Monday morning in a press release that they strongly believe it is Dan Adams, 54 of Terre Haute, who was found Sunday evening. Adams was reported missing on Aug. 5 after last seen getting gas in Brazil.
Even though they believe it is Adams, they will still be using DNA to get a positive identification, which could take weeks.
