DANVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A 4th grader who walked away from Danville South Elementary School was found safe Wednesday afternoon.
The Danville Community School Corporation said the 10-year-old student walked away from the school around 9:15 a.m. after being escorted into the building by one of his parents.
School officials believed the boy was having an emotionally difficult day and wanted to leave the school, according to a release.
Police said the boy was found safe in a nearby neighborhood shortly after noon.
