BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Bartholomew County say they are looking for a suspect who rammed a police car, then led police on a chase in the early morning hours Wednesday.

According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, an officer was called to check out a suspicious vehicle around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of East 650 South.  When the deputy arrived, the driver of the car put the maroon Chrysler 300 in reverse, then rammed the officer’s patrol car.’

The chase was called off quickly because of fog and road conditions.

During the day Wednesday, officers were able to find what they believe to be the car they were looking for, in northern Jackson County.

Police say they believe the suspect driver was a male in his 20’s and there was a female in her 20’s in the passenger’s seat.
