Henry Co. traffic stop leads to OWI arrest

HENRY COUNTY,Ind. (WISH) – One person in Henry County was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Officers had a vehicle pulled over for a minor traffic violation on I-70 east bound near mile marker 130.

It was at that time when one of the officers noticed a van swerving across the road and began head directly towards one of the police cars.

At the last second, the van swerved back onto the road right before hitting the police officer’s vehicle.

According to police, the van was pulled over by police minutes and it was discovered the driver, Zachary Gross, 31, of Pendelton.

Police also discovered a one-year-old child in the van as well.

Gross was arrested and now faces charges of Operating While Intoxicated with a Passenger Less Than 18 Years of Age and Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment.

Gross was taken to the Henry County Jail.
