Police: Teen shot in head on city’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a teenager was shot in the head on the city’s northwest side on Wednesday evening.

According to IMPD, the victim is a male, believed to be 17 years old. Officers responded to the scene at 34th Street and Moller Road at 6:47 p.m.

IMPD said that the teen was in critical condition and was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital for treatment.

A suspect description has not yet been released.
