Fatal crash closes I-69 in Huntington County

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — Interstate 69 was shut down in Huntington County mid-Thursday morning as police investigated a two vehicle fatal crash.

Police and medics were called around 9:30 a.m. to the interstate’s northbound lanes at the 280 mile marker, about two miles north of the State Road 5 exit.

Authorities closed the northbound and southbound lanes as they cleaned up after the accident.

Indiana State Police officers are investigating what may have caused the crash.
