ISP: Troopers spot man at gas station in stolen vehicle

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A man was arrested Thursday night after Indiana State Police troopers spotted him in a stolen car.

It happened at the Marathon gas station on State Road 243 just south of Interstate 70, according to ISP.

As two troopers entered the lot around 10:40 p.m., they noticed a suspicious vehicle.

Inside the vehicle was Larry D. Criscillies, 29, of Indianapolis, ISP says.

The vehicle had been reported stolen on August 18 and Criscillies did not have a valid driver’s license.

He was transported to the Putnam County Jail and preliminarily charged with auto theft, possession of stolen property and for being habitual traffic violator.
