3 arrested for armed robbery of Kokomo Wal-Mart

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — Three people have been arrested for the armed robbery of a Kokomo Wal-Mart.

The Kokomo Police Department says the Wal-Mart at 1920 East Marklnad Avenue was robbed around 3:40 a.m. Monday.

Two suspects armed with handguns reportedly restrained two employees and stole an undetermined amount of cash and other items before fleeing on foot. Police say no one was hurt.

Three people were arrested for the robbery. The suspects have been identified as Maurice Greer, Darrel Williams, both of Arkansas, and Tyrone Townsel, of florida.

They are believed to be connected to other robberies in the Indianapolis area.

They are being held in the Marion County Jail on federal charges.
