Children’s Network looking for most photogenic baby

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – They say a photo is worth a thousand words, but for the Children’s Miracle Network it could be worth millions of dollars for kids in need.

Julie Matthews stopped by 24-Hour News 8 at noon to talk about the Photogenic Baby contest.

The event is a national event that has helped raise more than $4.5 million for children’s hospitals since 1993. Proceeds raised here in Indianapolis benefit Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.

Photographers will be at Kids Gap and Baby Gap at the Castleton Square Mall on Saturday and Sunday to find the most photogenic baby of Indianapolis.

Infants through 5 year olds are eligible for a $35 entry fee and they get a professional photo shoot with a fashion designer.

Parents get to keep an 8 by 10 copy of the picture when the contest is over.

All photos from the contest can be viewed by clicking here.
