INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – “The View” is speaking up about criticism they received on their comments to Miss Colorado’s monologue.

The morning after the Miss America Pageant the host talked about the talent portion of the show and Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson’s monologue about her job. The comments they made created a firestorm on Twitter with thousands responding using #NursesUnite.

On Wednesday host Michelle Collins said she wanted to address the comments.

“I think it came out of context,” Collins said.

Collins said first of all, all of us on the show “love nurses, we adore you and respect you.”  She went on to say all nurses deserve raises.
