Car found riddled with bullets near downtown Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Officers are investigating after a car was found covered with bullet holes in a downtown street Friday morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said.

Police were called to the 200 block of West 10th Street, near Capitol Avenue, around 3:15 a.m. on the report of shots fired.

When officers arrived on scene they found the vehicle damaged by gunfire, but there was no victim.

The passenger door and windshield of the car were riddled with bullets.

Police blocked off the area to investigate.
