IND hosts welcome home rally for Indiana Fever

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/AP) — The Indianapolis International Airport invited the public to welcome home the Indiana Fever on Wednesday.

Indiana took down the New York Liberty 66-51 on Tuesday night in the decisive Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals, advancing the Fever to the WNBA championship. They will face the Lynx in the finals that begin Sunday in Minnesota.

The Fever arrived home at 10:45 a.m. and did a meet and greet in the airports Civic Plaza.

Staff members from the team handed out cheer cards and other cheer memorabilia so fans can cheer on the team as they prepared to bring home another WMBA Championship.
