Andrew Luck limited at practice

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Day two of the Andrew Luck drama, and number 12 again was limited at practice.

He did not throw the ball with his injured shoulder. Matt Hasselbeck and newly signed Alex Tanney did all the passing at practice, and since there is only one more practice before Sunday’s game, Friday’s workout will be important.

40-year old Matt Hasselbeck says being a backup isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, especially in situations like this.

“It’s a challenge, it’s a little bit of a challenge,” said Hasselback. “When I signed to come here you’re deciding to come here as the backup. He’s (Andrew Luck) a guy that traditionally has been very, very healthy or plays. That’s just the mindset. It’s actually a lot tougher than being the starter at times because you don’t get any practice, you don’t get any snaps, you don’t get any input, no say all that. You can’t even use your own cadence. You have to imitate somebody else’s cadence. I have been there before so it’s not as great as everyone thinks it is.”
