INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A local organization is offering free depression screenings in October to help those struggling with depression.
The Counseling Center at the Christian Theological Seminary is offering free depression screenings this month to help people identify symptoms.
Dr. Christina Davis the Clinic Director at CTS stopped by 24-Hour News 8 to talk about the screenings.
Thursday Oct. 8 is National Depression Screening Day. Depression is something that affects 15 million Americans.
CTS says that research found that two-thirds of those suffering with depression do not seek help.
Counselors at CTS will complete a brief questionnaire with each individual. Participants will get free education resources to those who need additional information.
Free screens begin Thursday and go until Oct. 31. You can schedule a screening by calling 317-924-5205.
