WISH announces annual WISH Tree campaign

Les Vann, President and General Manager for WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV, today announced plans for WISH Tree, WISH-TV’s annual toy drive. WISH Tree has been assisting Central Indiana families in need for the last 25 years.

“WISH-TV is proud to once again work with our viewers and community partners to help make the holiday season a little brighter for thousands of local families,” said Vann. “We’re thrilled this year to join forces with the Marines Corps Reserve Toys for Tots to make an even bigger impact.”

All donations to this year’s WISH Tree program will benefit the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, which collects and distributes toys to children in need in the Central Indiana community.

“It is our privilege to work with a successful program such as WISH Tree. We are honored to work together to give back to the community we are proud to be a part of,” said Staff Sergeant Ryan Boman, Inspector and Instructor Staff, Indianapolis.

WISH-TV, the Marine Corps Reserve and their community partners; Menards, Ed Martin Automotive, and the YMCA will be collecting new, unwrapped toys throughout the Central Indiana area during the holidays.

In addition, the WISH Tree “Tweet for Toys,” drive will take place on Thursday, December 10, 2015. During “Tweet for Toys,” the 24-Hour News 8 Daybreak team and the Marines will travel around the Circle City collecting toys and donations from local businesses and organizations. Businesses and organizations interested in participating can tweet their location to @WISH_TV using the hashtag #TweetForToys before December 10, 2015. The entire “Tweet for Toys” event will be streamed on WISHTV.com live as it happens.
