IMPD officer arrested on OWI charges takes plea deal
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer who was arrested on OWI charges accepted a plea deal on Friday.
Thirty-six-year-old Officer Daniel Greenwell was arrested on Sept. 21 just before 3:30 a.m. Police say the arrest happened in the 7600 block of Sargent Road.
Greenwell agreed to plea guilty to the charges and was sentenced to probation and a suspended license.
Police say Greenwell was off-duty and in his personal vehicle when he was arrested.
Greenwell was suspended without pay from IMPD following the arrest.
