Teen arrested for attempted robbery at CVS down the block from police station

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — A 17-year-old was nabbed after becoming impatient while attempting to rob a CVS less than a block from the Lawrence police station.

It happened at the CVS store at 56th Street and Post Road around 1:30 p.m.

Police say the teen handed the pharmacist a threatening note. While waiting for the time-delayed safe, the suspect became impatient and fled the store.

The pharmacist had managed to slip away and call police. Officers responded from the nearby police station and had the store surrounded when the teen exited.

He was tasered after resisting arrest.

Police say the 17-year-old was on probation for a prior CVS robbery.
