INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Monday the Indianapolis Colts released quarterback Josh Johnson.
The Colts signed the new quarterback on Oct. 2, the same week Andrew Luck had been limited in practice activities and missed his first game NFL game due to a shoulder injury.
Johnson was signed to the Colts roster on Friday. The 29-year-old has most recently been on the roster for the New York Jets, but he’s also previously played for the 49ers, Bengals, Browns and Buccaneers.
According to the team, Johnson was active but did not play in Sunday’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It was not clear if Johnson was signing due to Luck’s injury.
