COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — A male driver died after a crash where he hit a diner near Columbus Monday morning.

It happened in the 6300 block of South Jonesville Road at Flo’s Country Diner around 9:30 a.m.

Officials with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department said 88 year-old man Noble Southern of Columbus was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe the man had a pre-existing medical condition that contributed to the crash and death. They said the death was not caused by crash.
