Two injured in northwest side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two people were injured after a shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis Sunday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Rosewood Commons Court and West 56th Street.

Officers were called on the report of one person shot but when they arrived they found a 46-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.

Police say a suspect in the shooting was still on the run Monday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
