DePauw University starting search for new president

GREENCASTLE, Ind. (AP) – DePauw University is starting its search for a new president to lead the private liberal arts college in western Indiana.

The university says an 18-member committee has been named to work with a national executive search firm to seek a replacement for current President Brian Casey. He announced in August he was leaving DePauw next summer to become president of Colgate University in New York.

The DePauw search committee includes 10 graduates of the school who are Board of Trustees members, four faculty members, two administrators and two current students. School officials say the committee hopes to begin interviewing candidates in early 2016 and select a new president in the early spring.

Casey took office in 2008 as president of the 2,200-student college in Greencastle.
