Hoosier Haunts looks at Indiana’s frightful past

Do you like to be spooked?! If so, you need to check out Hoosier Haunts, an experience of sorts that gives people a fun and frightful look into Indiana’s storied past through tales, told by some of the favorite and lesser known Hoosier ghosts. Audiences will travel from room to room enjoying performances throughout the Harrison home.

Hoosier Haunts was written by James Trofatter and premieres at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site October 9 (runs Oct. 9, 10, 16-18) and really involves audiences into the performance. Here’s all the information you’ll need to attend:

Hoosier Haunts runs this weekend and next – so a great time before Halloween to experience the spookiness of October and Halloween. Guests will walk throughout the Harrison home and experience different performances: ranging from short vignettes to longer scenes.

The show is produced by Candlelight Theatre: Since 2003, the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site–downtown Indianapolis home of 23rd U.S. President Benjamin Harrison–has served as the stage and set for the wholly unique Candlelight Theatre. Guests are enjoy multiple genres of theatre, all performed by a resident acting troupe at this National Historic Landmark. In Fall theatre (October), the Site’s resident playwright Jim) constructs a progressive performance that has guests wandering through the home for a theatre experience that is equal parts historically rich, humorous, and of course just a little creepy. Plays are a mix of classics and originals.
